Getting trapped in traffic isn’t so bad
As long as you don’t get used to looking at the clock
All time should be relative since all distances are
Nothing matters more than making it to your destination
It’s the reason we honk at each other
And expect courtesy on the road
We expect more from each other
Then each one of us can deliver
And yet at no point do we stop to look at each other realistically
Or to set expectations for one another
That take into consideration that we’re only human
And all prone to making mistakes
All the time.
But driving is both social and solitary
And we shift from one state to the other so inhumanly
You might think it neurotic
If you saw this behavior in any other forum.
We hate it or we don’t mind it
And a few people like it
Yet everyone does it
And no one can see an alternative.
