“The Story Foreshadows…” opening was high-lit by a cool centerpiece at the gallery’s show opening: a 4-foot tall piñata made to look like Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. Here are the images taken by the piñata’s makers, Brynñatas here in Downtown Los Angeles:
After hunting for almost half a day, we found a cool little jewish market in central Los Angeles that sold silver coins and and (of all places) a Smart and Final in Woodland Hills, CA which sold gold coins so that when the Mona Lisa piñata was whacked, chocolate coins would come flying out. Similar to hitting the real Mona Lisa with a stick.
